Tea and honey
Tea with honey can be very soothing and honey may provide anti-inflammatory benefits.
Stay hydrated
Dehydration can cause sore throats or make them worse, so it is important to stay hydrated.
Over the counter medication
Try taking tylenol or ibuprofen to help ease pain and discomfort.
Throat lozenges
Throat lozenges come in all sorts of flavors, and some are medicated while others are not. Some people find those with menthol to be too numbing, but other people swear by them! Always follow dosing guidelines on the packages, and if your sore throat seems to be worsening over time or preventing you from swallowing, it's time to consult with a healthcare provider.
